Barbie horse adventures wild horse rescue game play

Somehow, it would seemingly make the offering subject to bias critical views. There has been plenty of reviewers hating on it. But some were a bit more receptive to the latest offering in the Barbie Horse Adventures franchise. Whether it is decent or actually bad, it's probably worth checking for ourselves.

From a critical perspective, it's important to remember this game is made for children. This is a notion that seems to often forget. People judge the simplified mechanics and basic narrative against their complex ideals of a video game. Barbie Horse Adventures: Wild Horse adventures adopt all those feats to tailor the game to its market. The story revolves around horses being scared by a recent lightning storm - and it's up to Barbie to bring them back to safety.

A simple basis for the trivial execution of search and rescue mechanics. Throughout the game, you will guide Barbie on her horse through the colorful environments. The player will gather the horses and tame them into returning home.

That's really about it. You won't be wrestling them - but petting them, lassoing them, and guiding them back to the stables.

Not much else will happen except some cringing dialogue and secondary objective of collecting coins. As a general consensus, yes, it's pretty mundane and not very rewarding. The concept probably fits into the attention span of the child, though you sense this was unintentional. The only real point of interest for everyone in the customization tools for Barbie and her horse, a real surprise considering the game feels it was churned out in record time.

However, the universal downside that we can all agree on. Only then will it let you lead it to the safe point. Either before or after you rescue the foal, go down the slope that leads to the dried-up river. You can walk along it. You should find a clothing bonus.

Inside the chest is another clothing bonus. You now should have all three clothing bonuses from this trail. By this stage on the trail, Barbie will comment that the horse is getting dirty and you should wash it, either back at the stables or in a lake or river. Just ignore Barbie and carry on with the trail. Return to your horse and continue past the skunk. This is your first Beat the Clock challenge. To trigger the challenge, collect the clock, and then all the other clocks will appear in the area, and a timer will start.

On this particular challenge for this trail, the clocks will appear along the path. If you fail to collect all the clocks in time, you can try again by collecting the starter clock. You might collect the clock by accident. The best thing to do, if you want to do the challenge, is to do the challenge first, and then go back along the path to find any coins that you missed. There will also be coins along the path where the Beat the Clock challenge takes place.

There will be coins in the middle of the path, over the jumps, as well as beside them. Look out for a coin next to a cluster of rocks. Remember that some coins can be easy to miss first time and are well hidden. Open it and collect the coins that come out, making sure not to miss any. Further along, collect all the coins you see. One log will have three coins along its top. Get to the end of the path, either jumping over the logs or going around them, collecting coins as you go, until you come across a new area.

Follow the path and collect the carrot in the middle of the path until you see a foal. Before the foal and the safe point are four coins in a group. Pick these up.

On the left of the path, next to two rocks and some blueish-purple flowers is a coin. Behind the tree that the foal is next to is another coin. Look around the area. Nearby you should see a pink sugar cube on the grass amongst the trees. Collect it and then press the button to lead the foal, who will now allow you to lead it. Sugar cubes are a one-time collectible for specific rescues. Get back on your horse after rescuing the foal and go up the path along the cliff, following the coins.

Approach this and a cutscene will play, showing that the last foal is up on the cliff. To get to the foal, approach the ladder to climb up it. Climbing up ladders is like climbing onto ledges.

Hold the joystick upwards to keep Barbie climbing up. To make her move left or right, move the joystick left or right. To climb down, move the joystick down. Ahead of you will be a boarded-up tunnel. There will be six coins hidden in the grass, so collect these, and then to your left as you climbed up the ladder will be another ladder.

Climb up this like with the other ladder, but you may need to move left and right as the ladder curves. Continue climbing upwards until you reach the top of the cliff, collecting any coins along the way.

Go past this along the grass path, picking up coins, until you find the foal. By now, you should have rescued all 6 foals. Go back down the ladders and get back on your horse. Get off your horse and open the chest. Instead of coins, 4 carrots will come out. You can collect these, regardless of your friendship meter. Mount your horse and continue along the path, picking up the coins. You need to jump over this. You will not be able to pass on horseback.

Jump across the gap, making sure you give your horse enough room to make the jump. Make sure you collect the two coins on the jump. Continue along the path, picking up the coins and the two carrots, and then a cutscene will play. Before you go ahead and rescue the horse, turn to your left.

Nearby, you should see two coins. There are four more in the field across the stream, before a group of tall green trees. Go into gallop and go after the horse, which will begin to run away when you get close. Stay as close to it as you can. You need to watch out for the horse suddenly turning off course, so be ready.

Stay on the horse and wait for the meter to rise until the icon flashes. When it does, the action button prompt will appear. Press it quickly to lasso the horse. You can either return to the stables immediately, or you can continue to explore the trail. You can return any time you like.

The same goes for any other horses you rescue. To ride Bluebell and any other horses you rescue, you need to go to the stables and select her as your horse. You also cannot interact with the horse you just rescued. If you return to the trail later, the horse and its safe point will be gone, like with the rescued foals. To access the trail, go through the gate and confirm that you want to enter this trail, and then after a short loading screen, the trail will load.

You can follow the path to progress further along the trail, but first you need to collect all the coins in the yellow fields. There is also a Beat the Clock challenge to complete, as well as a pink treasure chest to find and open. For the Beat the Clock challenge, you have five clocks to find in 24 seconds. Completing the challenge wins you a turquoise ribbon with pink stripes. In this area, by the big tree next to the path and the fence, there are two apples to collect.

In the pink chest is five coins. Eventually, the path will split in two directions. On the right is a gate that requires a key to open it, so go left first. Pick up any coins you see. Look out for the coins hidden in the bracken. Ahead of you will be a bridge. Before the bridge is a treasure chest. Dismount your horse and open it to reveal a clothing bonus. Get back on your horse after collecting the contents in the chest and continue along the path, passing under the bridge, collecting the coins on the path.

As you turn around the corner, there will be a cluster of four coins. These will have some coins on it, so make sure not to miss them.

As you approach it, a cutscene will play. Dismount from your horse. Near the ladder and the treasure chest is a key, which you need to unlock the gate you saw earlier. Pick it up and then open the treasure chest to get a carrot. Then climb up the ladder. To get across them, simply walk up to them, and Barbie will automatically jump up onto them. Move forward to cross the bars. To drop down, keep moving Barbie forward until she automatically drops down.

On monkey bars, as well as moving backwards and forwards, you can move left and right. Reach the other side of the monkey bars to get to the foal. Before you do so, you can push the bridge to lower it.

Simply walk up to it and press the Action button. If you interact with the bridge whilst leading the foal, after the short cutscene plays, Barbie will still be leading the foal. Lead the foal to the nearby safe point, following the path and picking up the coins. Keep leading the foal until you reach the safe point at the end of the narrow pass, when the cutscene plays. At the gate, dismount your horse and walk up to the gate to open it, granting you access to the rest of the trail. Get back on your horse and ride on, picking up any coins.

On the left is a path full of bracken. The right path has lots of coins to collect. Get past the skunks however way you choose. On the path on the left, with all the bracken, a foal will be hidden at the end of the path near where the skunks are. The safe point is nearby, at the other end of the path. Pick up the coins along the bridge, and look under the bridge as well.

The water is shallow so you can wade in it. After collecting all the coins, on the other side of the bridge is a barn. Investigate it, as there is a foal hidden inside.

Around the safe point are some coins you need to pick up. Go around the right side of the barn where a line of coins is, until you get around the back. Dismount your horse from here. Go up the ladder and a cutscene will play, showing you where the foal is that needs rescuing.

Go down the ladder and climb over the hay, picking up the clothing bonus. Climb over and weave through the hay until you reach the foal. Walk up to the barn doors and press the Action button to open them. After the doors have been opened, lead the foal to the safe point.

Once the foal has been taken to the safe point, get back on your horse and go down the path where the fallen logs are. Jump over the logs. Behind the first log you jump over is a coin to the right.

Further up the path, behind the tree before the fallen tree, is another coin, near the apple. After jumping over the fallen tree is a low-bearing fallen tree, which you need to duck under. If you get hit, your horse will lose some friendship points and will either stop or slow down. Once you clear the rolling logs, collect the coins in the circle.

Pick these up and then jump over the logs in the path. After clearing the log, pick up the carrot. There is a coin behind the log you just jumped over.

Look around for the coins just after the log, and then make your way down the path until you reach a series of ledges to your right. You cannot go any further beyond it because there is a gate that needs a key to unlock it. Behind the ledges is a carrot. Dismount your horse and go up the ledges, picking up the coins, until you come to a path.

Go through the entrance to the ruins and first turn left, following the path. Opening it reveals the third and final clothing bonus. Open it and collect the coins. First go left and follow the path around to the dead end, picking up the coins, then go back and go left, following the path, until you go under an archway.

Turn right and pick up the four coins in the dead end, then turn around and keep going until you find yourself in an open area with barrels. In the middle is a foal. Lead it to the safe point you saw outside, using the arrow as a guide to help you out of the maze.

Instead, go down the path and open the gate with the key you found. Ride along the path, collecting any coins you find. The foal is on the other side of the pond to you, so get past the logs, making sure you collect any coins along the way. Before you cross the bridge to the other side, drop down into the water. In here are some coins to be found.

Collect these and then get back onto the path and cross the bridge. On the other side are four coins to be picked up. Approach the foal and lead it across the bridge. You need to time this carefully. Get as near to where the log is rolling so that you give yourself as much time as possible.

Once you successfully clear the first log with your foal, do the same with the second log. Get past the logs again and then continue along the path, jumping over the log. There is a coin to the right of the path after the jump. In order to rescue the foal, you need to cut off the water. To do this, approach the wheel to the left of the lock and press the Action button. A cutscene will play, showing the water being cut off.

Now you can lead the foal to the safe point, located on the other side of the river. Just before the safe point will be a group of four coins. After the safe point, to the right, will be a chest containing some coins. You should see it glinting through the grass, but it can be hard to spot. You should have all coins by now. If not, you can go back along the trail and look for any stray coins.

At the starting point will be Teresa. Go up to her and press the Action button to trigger the cutscene when the button prompt appears. Teresa will challenge you to a race. An arrow will show you where the next posts are. Teresa will take the horse back to the stables. You can continue exploring if you have some collectibles missing or still need to rescue some foals, otherwise return to the stables, where you can move onto the third and final forest trail, choose your new horse Butter Cup, and see what clothes you unlocked in the dressing room.

The races have their own little challenges. For example, for the forest race, there was the jumps. For the shoreline race, some of the track is in shallow water. In front of the stack of hay, there are two coins in the middle of the path.

On the ramp that leads up to the foal are three coins. Behind the barn are five coins. Climb up the ladder and collect the coins on the top. To get to the foal, you need to go up the ramp by the stack of hay in front of the barn — but you cannot reach the foal. First, you need to lower the hay suspended in the air, to close the gap. To do this, you need to cut the rope. Near the ramp, by the side of the barn, is a big crate.

Leaning against it are some shears. Approach them and press the Action button to pick them up. Look between the piles of hay to find any coins. A short cutscene will play. The hay has been lowered into the gap, so you can now rescue the foal.

Lead it to the safe point. Before you continue along the path and leave this area, look beside the small storage building next to the barn. There will be a carrot. Ahead of you, you should see a small rock with a coin either side of it.

Before you jump over the fallen tree, look to your right. Pick up the coins. In the clearing is a treasure chest. Next to it is a carrot.

Open the chest and collect the coins that spill out. Continue along the main path, jumping over the fallen tree. Pick up the two coins on the path and then jump over the next fallen tree.

Wait until the bear is walking away from you and follow it carefully, keeping behind it. You can get past it once it begins to turn away, walking in the opposite direction.

You can just get around them. On the left, next to the rock, is a carrot and another apple. On the opposite side, behind the mossy rock, is a coin. Get past the bear. You cannot cross this on your horse, so you need to dismount from here.

Once the skunk has been fed, you can lead the foal past the skunk and up the path to the safe point. The arrow is there on the screen to point you to the safe point. Pick up the coins and go up the path. You only need to feed the skunk nearest to the foal in order to lead it away. Return to your horse and go across to the other bridge, which you can cross on your horse. After crossing the bridge, turn to your right where there are two coins next to the short cliff.

To the left of the cliff is a large mossy rock. Behind it is another coin. Continue along the path, where you see two coins. Along the path, to your right before the fallen tree, the path looks as if it goes off right. There are coins along the path, but to the left of the path after the jump are some coins in a grassy area.

Continue along the path and jump over the fallen log. Follow the path until you see a river. The path ends here. To your right in a grassy area is a carrot. To progress further, you need to wade through the water on your horse. You need to watch out, as there are logs going down the river, and if they hit you, you lose some friendship points. The treasure chest contains a clothing bonus. Get back into the river. Turn left off the bank with the chest and go down the river, collecting any coins whilst avoiding the logs.

Continue along the river until you see a waterfall. Exit the river on the right, where you re-join the path. On top of one of these piles is a foal. To get to it, you need to remove the stick by the pile, so they roll down and create a ramp for you to get up, so you can reach the foal. Lead the foal to the nearby safe point. Look between the logs in the area to find some coins. Behind another pile is a treasure chest containing some more coins.

Behind the wooden building is a coin. Continue past the building on horseback and jump over the logs. Duck under the fallen tree. To the right after the fallen tree is another carrot. Continue along the path until you come across a valley of rolling logs. There are three rolling logs to get past altogether. Before the first rolling log is a coin in the grass. By the tree stump before the third rolling log is another coin. After getting past the rolling logs Barbie will tell you that you have cleared them , the path splits two ways.

To the left is an area with a foal. To the right there is a Beat the Clock challenge and the path continues. You can choose to go either way, but you should go left first and rescue the foal. In this area is some tall grass — and two skunks roaming. The foal is hidden behind some logs. There are two apples near the entrance to the area. Get past the skunks and pick up the coins by the tree stump.

Open the chest to reveal some coins. Go behind the logs into the tall grass, collecting the coins hidden in the grass, until you reach the foal. You may need to feed the skunks though, as you need to get past them to get to the safe point on the edge of the area. Get back on your horse and continue down the path to the next area. There will be some coins to collect here, some of them hidden in the long grass. There are also skunks roaming around, so be careful.

There are 8 clocks to find in the area. Initially you are given 15 seconds, but gain an extra 5 seconds for every clock you find. When you successfully find all the clocks, you win a red ribbon. Continue on and cross the river. Either side of the hill are rolling logs, as well as coins. Look in the tall grass for some of the coins, and watch out for the rolling logs.

The path will split two ways again. To your left is a gate that needs a key to open it. To the right is a clearing, where you can find the key, so go right first.

In the clearing is a skunk on its own. You may also spot the key near the skunk. Feed the skunk if you need to, although you might be able to just sneak past it.

There are two apples in the clearing, and another hidden in the long grass. Inside are a few coins. Once you get the key and have collected the coins in the chest, go back to the gate and open it so you can continue along the trail.

Get back on your horse and ride along the path, jumping over the fallen tree. Duck under the low tree. A carrot will be on the left after you pass under. Lead the foal away, and one by one get past each rolling log. There are a few carrots to be found between each gap in the logs, and before the last rolling log, a coin can be found. Get past the final rolling log to reach the safe point. Get back on your horse and continue along the path. Along the path, another path will split off to the right.

Look out for lots of tall grass. You can continue along the main path to the river or go down the path to the right. The main path will have a few coins in a row. The path that goes to the right has a carrot and a chest at the end, just before the river.

Inside is a clothing bonus. You should have 2 of 3 now. The river has logs going down it, like the one you encountered earlier. Watch out for the logs and try not to get hit. Cross the river to the other side and follow the path, collecting up the coins. Jump over the log and continue down the path until you see a large new area. There are large logs to walk across and a huge sort-of swamp.

Walk across the first logs until you reach a grassy bank with some coins. The bank will slope down into the water. The chest contains some coins. Return to the bank and continue along the logs to the next grassy bank. On this is the third and final clothing bonus.

Leave the bank and go into the water, going past the second bank to the bank in the corner, which has a treasure chest. Inside are some coins. Return to the bank with the foal and go down the logs. Pick it up and return to the foal. With the sugar cube, you can lead the foal to the safe point, which is on the far bank in the corner. Continue along the logs, going past the bank that had the sugar cube. Follow the coins until you re-join the main path.

Jump over the logs and collect the coins until you reach a large clearing and a cutscene plays. In this field, there are some coins to collect. Look in the grassy areas. Give chase to the horse. Keep on it and then the lasso meter will appear. Stay on the horse until the meter reaches the top, and then press the Action button when it appears to lasso the horse.

Up on a small bank is a foal, but if you try to lead it, a cutscene will play where the foal will refuse to go with Barbie. She explains that to rescue this foal, you have to collect all the apples in the area. Go around the orchard and collect all the apples. Look out for apples hidden in tall clumps of grass. Once you have all the apples, go back to the foal and lead it to the safe point. Get back on your horse and proceed between the fences along the path, jumping over the logs and collecting any coins.

There are two carrots to the right side of the path. Go to the clearing by the side of the path. A treasure chest will be nearby. It contains a sugar cube, which you need to feed the foal and lead it to the safe point. Continue along the track, jumping over the logs. Keep going until you go down a slope leading to an icy clearing. In this area, there will be two bear cubs roaming around on the ice.

Nearby is a treasure chest. Behind a rock on a snowy hill is an apple. Even if the bears are fed and distracted, the foal also wants a sugar cube.

To get the sugar cube, go around the corner, following the trail of coins. To your right, a narrow path will go up the cliff. On the top is a treasure chest, containing the sugar cube you need. Return to the foal, making sure the bears are fed, and then lead the foal to the safe point, using the arrow to find it. Follow the path until you come across a new area. This area is quite large. By the fence in the corner is a treasure chest containing coins.

You can go under the archway on foot without needing to duck under. The safe point is by the archway. Go past the archway or through it and go up the path into the woodland, following the trail of coins.

Explore the area. At one dead end is a treasure chest with lots of coins. Another has a cluster of coins. Another has a clothing bonus to collect. At another dead end is a foal. Instead, focus on the path before you. To get to near the top, you have to gallop. Continue along the path until you see a log you need to jump over. Go back down the path and jump over the log. You can feed the rabbits. In the centre is a pink clock for the Beat the Clock challenge. Beware that rabbits are around these coins and the Beat the Clock challenge, so you may lose some friendship points.

The Beat the Clock challenge has 5 clocks to collect, starting on 25 seconds. Look for some of the clocks around and between the cabins — and watch out for the rabbits! To find the foal, go to the far-most cabin the one furthest from the way you came in and climb up the ladder. You cannot enter the cabins. At the top to your left will be a chest containing a carrot.

You saw one of these across the entire forest trails on the second one, to be precise. Simply move towards it to hop up and then move forwards. You can shuffle left and right. Keep going to the end of the bars to drop off. Go across the plank, pick up the coin, and then get across the next monkey bars, doing the same thing again. Be careful of the rabbits. That should be it for this area, so get on your horse and go back down the path and keep going until you reach the gate.

Dismount your horse and open the gate using the key you found. Then get back on your horse and continue along the path. To your left by the rocks is a carrot. Before you continue, just after you jump over the path, get off your horse and follow the trail of coins to your right into a cave.

Climb up the ledge and then open the three chests. The first chest contains coins, the second has a clothing bonus, and the third has a carrot. Leave the cave and return to your horse. Continue down the path and approach the bridge. You cannot cross the bridge on your horse. If you do, just go up to your horse and press the button again.

When you reach the other side, collect all the coins. Cross the next bridge, still leading your horse, and collect the coins in the next part.

Return to your horse and lead it across the third and final bridge. Once cleared, you can ride your horse again. Note that if you want to come back this way, you need to lead your horse across again. Continue along the path. Behind a big pine tree to your right is a carrot. Further along, behind a rock to the right, is another apple. On the opposite side, behind a small rock, is a coin.

Further up, to the left of the path in a little thicket of plants, is a coin. Keep going until you come across a bear cub roaming around. To the left is another thicket of plants with some coins. You can feed the bear cub to distract it or just ignore it and run past. Go past the bear cub and a cutscene will play.

You can feed it to distract it or just ignore it and run past, whatever you prefer. Go past the second bear cub and cautiously approach the big bear. There are some coins around the rock that you need to collect.

Pick these up without letting the bear see you and move on. Just before the bridge, look to your right. You can jump over this gap. Jump the gap and then go down the sloping path until you come across a frozen river and series of frozen waterfalls. At the far end is the foal. Simply walk up to it and lead it to the safe point. Get back on your horse and return to the main path by jumping back over one of the gaps. Get past them, jumping over the logs and collecting the coins you see.

Past the last log you jump ahead of you is a rock. Behind it is a coin. Follow the path down until a cutscene plays. Before you rescue it, collect the last of the coins on the sloping path and then give chase to the horse. Some carrots can be found in the clearing where the horse is.

When chasing and lassoing the horse, be aware that you may have to jump over some logs. You cannot lasso a horse whilst jumping, so keep on it and be patient. The horse you rescue is called Diamond. On the other side is a carrot. Continue along the path and pick up the coins. A cutscene will show a foal stuck on the other side. You cannot jump over the broken bridge, as the gap is too wide, but go up onto the bridge anyway to pick up the handful of coins.

When you collect the coins on your side of the bridge, leave the path onto the frozen river. As you go onto the river, go to the right and pick up the four coins. Nearby is a carrot. Turn around and go to the end of the river, where the waterfall has frozen over, and pick up the coins by the rocks. Go back down the river.

To the left is a lone coin. On the other side, behind a crack in the ice, is another coin. To get to the foal, you need a plank to place across the gap. The plank is nearby, behind where the foal is trapped. Walk up to the plank and press the Action button to pick it up. Go back to the foal and walk up to the bit of wood on the ground that has a snowflake symbol on it. The Action button will appear, allowing you to place the plank.

You can now reach the foal. Lead the foal to the safe point, located a little beyond where you found the plank of wood. Get back on your horse and follow the coins that takes you back onto the main track. The path splits two ways.

You can see two paths of coins branching off. They reconnect and merge into one path. You can either go to the left or the right first, but the right path takes you to a treasure chest. In front of the treasure chest is a raccoon. To get to the chest without being bothered, feed the raccoon an apple. Inside the chest are 5 coins. Get back on your horse and continue along the track, picking up the coins. A little way ahead, the path will split off two ways again.

Go to the left first. Lead the foal past the raccoon to the safe point. There are also a few coins in a cluster to pick up in the clearing before you leave. Return to the main path and go down to the right this time.

There are some logs and fallen trees to jump over, and some coins to collect. Collect all the coins in the woodland and then continue along the path at the other end. To your right will be a chair lift which you cannot ride. In the left corner at the end, where the rocks are, are some coins. In the left corner of the fence are some more coins. Then follow along the fence, picking up more coins, until you come across a treasure chest.

Go down the path along the chair lift, and go into the fenced area to the left. There will be some coins to pick up. Continue down the winding path, collecting all the coins. In one place is a raccoon, roaming around one group of coins. Continue down the path until you come to a new area.

In the middle of the clearing is a safe point. A foal is nearby. You may notice a little way ahead, in the cliff, is an entrance to a cave. You cannot get through this way, as a giant ice block is in the way. You can reach it by going up the path to the right. Additionally, to the left of the blocked cave entrance is a carrot. When you reach the cave entrance, collect all the coins leading into the entrance.

Enter the cave, and in the middle will be an ice statue of a foal. Collect the coins surrounding it. Then dismount from your horse and approach the statue. Press it and cutscene will play of Barbie pushing the statue, unveiling a ladder. Climb down the ladder into the chamber below.

In a corner is a treasure chest containing some coins. In another corner is a clothing bonus, the first of this level. Lead it to the ice block. Approach the ice block and press the Action button when prompted to show a cutscene of Barbie moving the block.

You can now exit the cave and lead the foal to the safe point. Get back on your horse and resume the trail. In the middle of the clearing, where the snowballs roll past, are a group of coins. Once you get past the snowballs, find the coins amongst some plants in the corner. Nearby is the foal that needs rescuing. You need to get the foals past the snowballs to get it to the safe point. Lead the foal towards where the snowballs are going past.

Like with the rolling logs, take your time, wait for the right moment, and then run past. Go past the two rows of rolling snowballs, and then go up the path. There are also some coins to pick up along this path, so collect them whilst trying to avoid the snowballs. There are a few coins to collect along the main path as well. Enter the woodland and collect any coins you see amongst the trees.

There are also a few carrots to be found. At the far end of the woodland, near a rock, is a treasure chest containing a clothing bonus. Along the fence, not far from the chest, is the foal. Lead it to the safe point on the edge of the woodland.

The chair lift will come across the path. If the chair lift hits you, your horse loses friendship points, so avoid the chair lift. Cross the path, picking up the coins as you go. Along this next portion of the trail is a Beat the Clock challenge. To collect the clocks, you need to jump over the logs. Before the first jump, where the Clock challenge starts, to the right of the path is a carrot.

The Beat the Clock challenge has 8 clocks to collect, and starts at 35 seconds. When you successfully complete the challenge, you win a green ribbon with blue stripes. The sugar lump is further down the path. Jump over the logs until you see a treasure chest. The sugar lump will be inside.

Return to the foal and lead it to the safe point. This is the last foal on this trail. Continue along the path until you see a bridge. This is where the race takes place. Before you start the race, go past Christie and follow the track down until you come across a log cabin.

Collect the coins and then open the treasure chest to get the last clothing bonus. Continue along the rest of the track to collect the rest of the coins. Approach Christie on the start line to trigger the race. Complete the 3 laps and beat Christie to win the race. The horse you unlock is called Glitter Girl. This trail is particularly special because part of it takes place inside a series of caverns.

Surrounding the pond are some coins to collect, but watch out for the white rabbits, which may be hard to spot amongst the coins and the snow. To the right at the start of the trail is a small ice grotto.

Not too far away are some rocks. Behind them is a coin. You might need it after encountering the rabbits.
