Amiga project x download

On higher levels loosing a life may means loosing all your life since you'll also loose some of your weaponry and may not be able to regain them because you can't kill too tough enemies The playability is really good except this stupid auto weapon selection I think it's not in the 93 edition tho but I'm not sure. On a visual and technical point graphics are superb, SFX, imho, are perfect, scrolling is incredible and the game is in fullscreen. Conclusion: While it's really a good production I think it's a bit overrated and that there is some better shoot on the Amiga Disposable Heroes for example.

Still Project-X is on the top of Amiga's shoot'em up. Project X"! It's unnecessarily hard. I don't know about SE; it's said it's easier.

Also there's bug about weapon selection sometimes when you get a power-up icon it goes back to Speed power-up and the selection method for it makes you mistakenly get a power-up you don't want.

Only pressing space would be sufficient. Graphics don't appeal to me either. But it has a coinop feel to it. That alone doesn't save it in my eyes however. It's sterile to me and not enough nice touches. I think the fact that most magazines salivated over Team 17 that this game was made a classic, however if you never knew who programmed it, would you feel the same way?

But this game was fantastic. Just look at the screenshots - amazing graphics, fantastic title music and great speech forget xenon and r-type View all comments I think it is pretty poor. With simple "bouncing ball" patterns an little to no animation and poor sound effect in fact this game reminds med of games I used to make in "klick n play". The only thing it really has is beutiful backgrounds.

Other than that its a pretty average game. There are much better shmups on Amiga like swiw, battle squadron, apidya, rtype, disposable heroes and hybris. Ill say play those before this. View all comments 7.

Its too hard and unplayable. I remember using my right great toe to upgrade weapons! Amiga Yoga!!! View all comments 5. Nice powerups and levels, but its a shame the game is too hard. Wolverine Perhaps the classiest shooter on the Amiga and another reason why Team 17 became my favourite games developers at that time.

Graphics, sound and especially music all top notch. Great gameplay too, simple and basic but highly playable. It is tough yes. But not impossible. Much much better than it's Playstation sequel 'X2'. The only thing really missing from this was parallax scrolling, especially on the planet-bound levels.

Great shoot'em up. The difficultly level was just right for a great challenge, very useful powerups, speech, that kept me going back for a blast now and then, the graphics and sound were absolutely amazing, it was like having an arcade machine right in my own home! Anyway what I can say is this is one of the truly best piece of its category of ever! Arcade quality game!

The gameplay itself is great, and the graphics are truly gorgeous. Great variety in enemies, some of which are really big in scale. Another classic from Team You must be a skilled player to even get to the second level The computer "Datormagazin" in Sweden wrote that this game is "way to hard" after the first level.

Games like Project X tip the scales towards a Yes vote. Because, quite simply, the game is just what you'd expect from an arcade machine, except that you don't have to plunge pound coins into a slot just as well -you've already invested more than twenty once you've got the box home. One thing arcade machines don't go heavy on is plot. Usually, it's a case of ask no questions and take no prisoners. In this case, there's an explanation for the bout of mindless violence you're about to embark upon.

Ambition bites the nails of success, it's said. In this case, the ambitious types were the scientists. They decided, after an especially wild party, to play games with genetic experiments.

Having created a bunch of mutated creatures, the scientists dumped these hapless, half-dead creatures on the planet Ryxx to die out. Unfortunately for you being the one in charge of clearing up this mess the mutants not only survived but managed to reproduce and evolve into evil death scum. Now you've got to infiltrate Ryxx and wipe out this rather virulent hangover. First clue to the size and graphical quality of this game comes when you open the box and FOUR disks fall out.

This amount of storage - over 3Mbytes - usually contains the data for an epic role playing or strategy game. And as soon as disk one is in your drive, you'll begin to see justification. An attractive but unimaginative menu presents you with several options. There's a choice of two musical styles, one or two player gameplay taking turns, not simultaneous, alas , three ship types, two skill levels and the chance to load or save the highscore table. The ships are the most interesting.

There's the fishlike slimline ship, which can move more quickly but carry less weaponry; the elephant ship, big and slow but with the potential to be a tank; and the middle ground, a good all-rounder.
