The printer and cord works with my daughter's Mac. In order to better understand the problem, please make sure to clarify what operating system you are using. Yes, we did that. HP just says the software is no longer available for download and that I should buy a new printer! I fixed it!!! I had previously downloaded a second copy although HP said it wasn't online and troubleshooted it.

Marc Bodewes. I used it a lot, more functions than the standard driver. Got new computers with new operating systems, forgot about VueScan. I got a new Epson scanner - old one doesn't have Win10 drivers. I remembered VueScan.
